Cleopatra
Aaaah! I recall the day my brother-in-law took me fishing in Lymm Dam. I never caught anything and never did fish again. After that I was content to do my fishing in Warrington Fish Market!

After that I was content to do my fishing in Warrington Fish Market! I love fishing and have caught some nice size bream and perch out of the damm, not done any for a long time, though I might get out on the bank next month!. Dr Johnson's definition of fishing; A worm on one end of a fishing line and a fool on the other.
Tracey Bennett
Ooh, great, Lymm has started! I've got quite a few ancestors in Lymme so I'm hoping to see something with a family connection, fingers crossed.
Cleopatra
Those steps dont look very safe. I suppose it stops people from climbing up them to have a pee, which seems to be the vogue these days.

RingoDave
That 1890 picture is amazing; so rural and seemingly completely residential.
