Warrington. Thatched Cottages in an unknown location.

(any suggestions would be welcome, it is definitely Warrington, unfortunately and in error I erased the title). The name over the door is "Thomas Knight", in 1895 there was a man of that name in Warrington in who's occupation was given as 'Fitter'.

I think the old woman looks like she's 'gleaning', ie picking up the bits left after the main harvest. Peasants used to have the right to go over the fields like this after the farmer had done his main harvest and keep the food to supplement their diet.
