observer
Seems the RN has positioned it's largest ship in the confined space of the River Thames, presumably to keep the Olympics safe from terrorist attack, but does that mean the ship is safe? observer
Think terrorists would have a problem getting near such a ship in mid-Atlantic - just hope they've never seen the film "The Cockleshell Heroes"!
Evil Sid
Would not have thought that Achmed would be able to seriously disable the ship unless he was strapped to a cruise missile. It is there to provide a base for the extra troops drafted in for security and as a base for helicopter cover and deployment of them in the event of a terrorist attack. as for being over the top if it makes any would be bomber/terrorist stop and think seriously about any activity they are planning then it is worth it. In the words of Achmed himself " SILENCE ....I kill you"
