observer Posted June 14, 2012 Author Report Share Posted June 14, 2012 Well it seems foxy Dave has escaped the hounds - but some of the excuses used are frankly inane. If we take Hunt's arguement: he claims that in making this quasi-judicial decision he consulted "fully independent advise" and "set aside" any personal preference. Does anyone really believe that folk who have a pre-conceived view on a matter can "set it aside"? Evidently the PM doesn't, as he removed Vince Cable from the position of making the decision, precisely because of his pre-conceived views. Just hope Levenson ain't going to swallow this c**p.
