Wellens on Friday

Recommended Posts

During the St Helens game on friday, again Wellens was seen in the full spot light giving the ref some verbal after a try was not given,no action was taken against him, this is now creeping into our sport on a regular basis. It is the duty of our ref's not to let rugby league become like football with ill discipline towards refs & touch judges; otherwise it will become the norm as in wendyball, our game is bigger and better than this...come on Red Hall DO SOMETHING !

Wasn't Paul Wellens captain and as such allowed to question the ref?

Not to wave his arms about and "if my lip reading is anywhere near accurate"gob foul language plus getting so close(almost touching) it is totally unacceptable let alone setting an example to impressionable children in the crowd who no doubt would be re-enacting his infantile tantrums next time they played a game dry.gif

And just to add to Wellens woes....

Wellens has been cited for the tackle where he dropped Briers on his head - Grade B offence - The official referee didn't even give a penalty against him. blink.gif

now then latch--do you ever notice how many high tackles morley, westwood, and carvell make --it seems you only notice half the incidents.
