Eagle
"Bolton midfielder Fabrice Muamba is stable and breathing again in a London hospital after collapsing on the pitch during a game with Tottenham." Thank goodness for that news.

asperity
I don't want to sound heartless, but what a fuss about a man having a heart attack. Anyone would think it had never ever happened to anyone ever before <_<
Eagle
I don't remember it happening on live TV before so it is bound to be a touch more newsworthy than most cases. And you don't sound heartless at all.
theinsider
Making a great recovery and even talk of him making a playing come back! Great news.

Eagle
Not quite the same, the cameras were concentrating on the game and only noticed the movement from bench to dressing room.
Bazj
Much as I feel for the player, I think the football lot are making a bit of a song and dance about it all...... Bolton have told their players that if they don't feel up to playing, they don't have to..... I wonder (as asp pointed at) that if a bus driver had a heart attack; would every bus driver in town feel that they couldn't drive a bus for a few weeks??? All another example of the nancy fag boys that play football (or don't) for a living.... Play or find another job should be the attitude..... and as for Muramba playing again; I doubt that would happen now.... the clubs insurance would never sanction that.... and who would want to play alongside him? If he has another one, the rest would be traumatised all over again!!
Peter T
Perhaps it wouldn't look so bad without the media coverage?
observer
Seeing the shrine of flowers outside the stadium tonight, I thought he'd died - what's all that about?
asperity
We seem to have turned into a nation of drama queens, ready to swoon at the drop of a hat. <_<
observer
Well he was extremely lucky that someone could give immediate CPR and a cardiac consultant was there too - many arn't that lucky.
Bazj
well I guess that if you are going to collapse: collapsing in front of 30,000 people is as good a place as any because chances are there will be someone around who knows what they are doing!! observer
Which is a wonder nowadays - even out of a crowd of 30,000!
