wolfie
Clue - There used to be lots of files kept in the building on the right but not in filing cabinets. Not a prison is it?
Cleopatra
Congratulations Cleo, Mistress of all she surveys, took you a while but you beat the young whipper snapper on this one! Scotland Road it is, Cockedge Lane to the right, Town (Pig) Hill to the left, what was Stubb's File works on the corner of Cockhedge Lane. Thank you... Thank you... Thank you very much everyone!
harry hayes
Wise after the event. I typed out Scotland road, but didn't post it cos I don't remember the street on the right (I remember a passage-way). Was sure on the left. it was the back door of the Odeon cinema which made me think Scotland Road. Happy days
algy
To confirm Cleo's answer is correct:- The street sign plate states "Cochedge Lane" Map from the 1920's.

Yes, Baz the correct area, but if you look at the old photo the junction of Cockhedge Lane and Town Hill are opposite each other whereas they have built a curved run in round the rear of TKMaxx and it is now called Cockhedge Way.
