observer
So where does all this leave Abu Hamza - believe they're now trying to deport him to the USA?!
Lt Kije
I think he will love it there
Bazj
I think he will love it there  typical toga wearing softy answer to try and look tough......  Hamza is playing the game and is allowed to do so because of the ECHR and the Human Rights act.  The sooner this government rip up the act and get shut of these criminals the better.  Once they have all gone, they should start with anyone who agrees with the ECHR and Europe next! Lt Kije
As my link to the Daily Mail said Baz, we could learn something from the French, The act appears to fail here because of our legal system other Countries seem to do ok, instead of taking the easy way out Baz, why don't you look at how other Countries implement it, surly that is a better solution. observer
Seems the ECHR were concerned that Hamza may be given life, without parole, by the Yanks. Meanwhile, 3 British subjects have been extradited to the US for lesser alleged crimes.
Lt Kije
No posts on the ECHR today
Bazj
No posts on the ECHR today  I take it that you are referring to the correct judgement that the muslim terror suspects are all to be extradited to the USA?  Well even the ECHR get things right eventually. Mind you, in the case of Barba Ahmed.... it has taken 8 years.... so not too much to gloat about!
Lt Kije
Baz  You seem to forget one thing, In English Law you are innocent until proven guilty. Those people are innocent until a court says different. I hope you never do jury service as you convict on what you read.
Bazj
Those people are innocent until a court says different. Â No smoke without fire is another well known saying....... and just how many different courts have to convict these type of people before they actually get convicted???? Bazj
And let's not stop at him - send all of these radical muslim suspects and potential terrorists out to the USA to get a slice of proper justice. The yanks don't have euro laws created to protect criminals, and thankfully they still have the death penalty. God bless America
Lt Kije
No the Americans have a system similar to ours , Innocent until proven guilty. I would not presume to do a courts job, it is for them to show guilt or not. You would dispense with courts.
observer
Well, on the good side, the Yanks will be paying full board and lodging for Hamza and Co, and hopefully save us from paying housing benefit to keep him in a London home! Bazj
You would dispense with courts. Â and just what gives you the right to judge me?
Lt Kije
The same right you use to judge others

Lt Kije
I am not, but I do not condem people pre trail, I agree Baz I am no better than you. If you took offence I am sorry
Bazj
No apology needed Kije.... I took no offence. I am what I am and proud of it!
observer
Well Hamza and Co have 3 months to appeal against deportation to the US. And it seems there's a lot more waiting - so many in fact, that we've now got two HM Prisons dedicated to keeping foreign criminals and a 4year backlog of deportation cases.
Lt Kije
Is that two prisons that only have foreign people awaiting deportation, or two prisons with wings set aside Obs, funny it's hard to tell from your post, not that I think you are being economical or anything
observer
Nope, it's two prisons solely set up to house foreign crims. The problem they've got now, is wading through the red tape, in order to deport them when they leave prison, the UKBF has a 4 year backlog - yer couldn't make it up! Cleopatra
Yeah, send him to the U.S! They know how to treat their criminals. No softly softly there. Â Probably the first thing they will do is to take his hook off him!
Lt Kije
Which prisons would they be Obs! If you go off the daily Mail the foreigners in British jails is 1 in 7, if you go off the Independent it is 1 in 8, but I can not find that they are all in two prisons anywhere, Long Lartin is the maximum security prison some of the suspected terrorists are being held their along with are home grown dangerous prisoners, are you mistaking prisons for deportation centres??
