It was a beautiful sunny afternoon and quite mild compared to being on the high seas!
North Country Boy
Ive been critical of Nick Jackson before but im still baffled by his inclusion in the team. Granted, he got a goal but his first touch always seems heavy which normally leads to him losing the ball. Is it a confidence issue? Is he normally better than the games that ive been present at this season? I really hope he proves me wrong one day but I just cant see it. AdrianR
Should have been a lot easier than it was. 5 mins of dozing at the end of the 1st half and a frankly tiresome second half until the goals went in! Great finish by Madin though. However still unbeaten in 2012 so musnt grumble .......too much.
tg
North country boy, having read the reports of the game written by the Salford websites, they give the impression that nic jackson was one of our more threatening players. Yes he loses the ball occasionally, but he's a creative attacking midfielder - inherently he will sometimes lose the ball. For the movement and drive he has given us this season, he really deserved that goal and I'd back him to kick on and get a couple more in the next few weeks.... Additionally, do you mind if I ask you what would your alternative to playing nic be?

From the bits I have seen Nick is a young lad with plenty of talent - give him a break - he would probably control the ball a bit better if the pitch wasn't so bobbly - he is possibly a star of the future. North Country Boy
Like I said, I hope that he proves me wrong but he does nothing but frustrate me at present. You can't really blame the pitch too much as not everyone has the heavy first touch or the ability to lose the ball like Jackson. He doesn't look confident whenever he receives the ball and to be honest, I cringe when I see his name on the teamsheet. I'm a huge fan of creative midfielders when they get it right, nothing excites me more on the pitch but I can't find any part of his game that impresses me. Again, I hope he proves me wrong. Ian
I think Nick is growing in confidence and in time will be a good attacking mid fielder for us. I also think one of our players that doesnt get the praise he deserves is Kyle, last few matches I`ve watched he`s certainly impressed and I thought against Salford he did a great job for us and was key to our winning the game. Keep up the good work lads. Ian
