Stallard12
How scary is this, a 6o yearold friend who I play golf with every day, was on his way with his wife, to a local casino over Christmas. While doing 70 mph (legally), he passed out cold and spectacularly wrecked. He is badly bruised but she is still in the hospital with a broken shoulder and broken fingers. She still isn't speaking to him, but the good news is that they probably saved money, cos it obviously wasn't their day. He was lucky that he veered into a ditch and not into the oncoming traffic. Evil Sid
Sounds very scary. The fact that he was passed out probably saved him from more serious injuries. However if he hadn't passed out he would not have had the accident in the first place. Still some good has come out of it. the money he was going to spend in the casino can now be used to buy a new car and as a bonus his wife is not speaking to him. algy
Nasty accident, the chap fainted so can't understand why his wife isn't speaking to him, there again I shall never understand women as long as I live!, and I have been married to the same one coming 50 years this year. Stallard12
I spoke to him yesterday and the part about his wife not speaking was just a joke between us. My point was, how scary is it to realize that now that most of us have passed 29, these things are hovering in the background on every trip ooooh !
Brendam.
Your friends were very lucky Stallard, I hope they're much better now. Bren.

Dizzy
When you say 29 do you mean in speed or age Stallard Hope your friends make speedy recoveries and it does sound very scary indeed. I bet not many would walk away from something that with such minor injuries. Not that they probably feel minor to them of course

wolfie
Well I ruled out speed and age. I mean who drives at 29mph or is 29 years of age? So, that only leaves the casino reference.
Stallard12
I was talking age. Here, let me put my other foot in it, if women can fudge on age, why can't I (just a little bit!!) ?
