Evil Sid
sometimes the answer is so obvious if you look closely enough.
Dizzy
Well spotted Detective Cheo. According the the museums website it was the 'Lower Seven Stars'. It has a nicer roof with small windows on it on their picture which I guess must be covered up by the large sign on yours Algy. ... so where was the 'Upper Seven Stars' ? Any idea what year your picture Algy as I am interested in the florist next door.
Cleopatra
Must say, with that name sign across the front of the bulding and the good stabling sign over the top of it, it looks more like a saloon in old western film.
Dizzy
answering my own question sorry... The 'Higher Seven Stars' was at 105 Bridge Street although the other is just called 'Seven Stars' and was at 119 Bridge Street (according to 1895 Slaters Directory of Warrington). Your pic must not be from 1895 as the florist is not next to them Gosh... I am so boring at times eh
