Dizzy
Ooooops H&S Officer gets suspended as a video of him becomes a youtube hit. I wonder how many others there have been which have never been shown until mobile technology and easy uploading and sharing became the norm. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newsvideo/weirdnewsvideo/8876554/Health-and-safety-officer-falls-off-ladder.html
Bazj
I posted this up on youtube a few days ago..... If you have any experience of these H&S people who give out site inductions; you will know just how satisfying it is to watch this video.... I'm sure Kije will know what I mean because he no doubt has to endure the endless site safety inductions every time you go anywhere these days! They brought in another money making scam called the CSCS card which meant any site worker or contractor had to take a 1 hour "safety" test.... difficult questions included: "You find a bottle of liquid on site with no labels....do you: a ) take it to your supervisor b ) drink some to try and work out what it is c ) Ignore it and carry on.... So after struggling to answer all of these difficult H&S questions, you then get your card which allows you to just walk straight on to a site? ..... does it buggery; you still have to do the site safety inductions that you always had to before the CSCS nonsense came into force.... Evil Sid
The correct answer is D ) take it too the supervisor and get him to drink it and then try and work out what it is. The correct way of dealing with a bottle of unlabelled liquid on site is to firstly examine the bottle from a distance. Make a note of where it is and what size, whether it is sealed or not. Then report it to a supervisor for further action by him.
