algy
This was one of Warringtons oldest pubs before they demolished it. What was it's name . What street was it on. What was the name of the pub adjoining it.

Cleopatra
Over the decades the town has lost all of it's former character. Such a shame. I would have loved to have seen tht quaint old inn still standing.

Dizzy
Bit's of the Old Fox Building are held by the Warrington Museum. I just noticed they have a 'Vanished Warrington' event on at the momement which is free. The 'Vanished Warrington' display features a number of museum objects from buildings in and around the town centre that have since disappeared, or changed in some way. You can learn about the fate of the Old Fox Inn (pictured) and the history of the Warrington Academy, once seen as a rival to Oxford University. Look at fancy wooden carvings from old buildings around the centre and read about the history of the Parish Church, whose 86m high spire makes it the fifth highest parish church in the country. There are also a number of local paintings from the museum's collections to accompany the display. Above info taken from their website and "What's On' page below (I hope the don't mind me doing that Warrington Museum - What's On Guide
