'Green Giant' is a headline repeated across many of the papers today as they hail his sprinters’ green jersey success in the Tour de France. An elated Cavendish has been described by British cyclist David Millar as the 'greatest sprinter in cycling history'. After claiming the 20th Tour de France stage win of his career on Sunday, BBC reporter Alan Jackson says the Isle of Man is very much on the map What a fantastic achievement and he's not the first or the last great cyclist from th IOM - The BBC North West TV highlighted the many children who turn up at the International Stadium yesterday, they ranged from tiny tots to teens.
