harry hayes
My mind was in poetry mood this morning. I got to wondering what things in life we are now charged for, which formerly came free. Happy days Life is like licking honey off a thorn.
Wingnut
FISHING I used to go fishing Almost every day But the farmer came along And wanted some pay. I’d argue back But I’m only perching and roaching But farmer Parmer said Your bluddy well poaching. I’d nip down the lake Or maybe the river But the prices now charged It fair makes me shiver I feel I've been cheated cos I'd bought baught a new rod so I climbed on t’fish market roof And landed a cod. Wingnut
I seem to recollect and had it confirmed tonight, that it was free entry at Wilderspool (WRLFC) at half time. It used to be free for dogs on buses............and me too, until they fitted driver operated doors.
Evil Sid
Free Nuts and crisps on the bar at the local hostelry. The soda syphon for the whiskey/whisky. Lime for the lager and lime was free at one time as well. Water for topping up the radiator at the garage seems to have gone by the board as well (not sure if the shell garage at chester road have a water hose fuel to dear for me to fill up there)
