observer
Seems politicians have to be precise and calculating in their choice of words - using "serious" rather than "aggravated" can get the PC luvvies screaming for you to resign! Evil Sid
As a certain tennis player would say. "you can not be (message edited for political correctness) aggravated "
harry hayes
This being selective in words leads to boring politicians and extremely bland statements - is Dave a tory?, he never speaks like one, for good or ill I am no great fan of Ian Paisley and a fan of Margaret, but when he said "Mrs Thatcher is lying through her back teeth" we were left in doubt as to his opinion. Good on him and more power to Prince Phillip - bet he had a pint of guiness when he got back to HQ. Happy days
wolfie
when he said "Mrs Thatcher is lying through her back teeth" we were left in doubt as to his opinion. Well I wasn't left in doubt, and he was 100% correct.
observer
As Bill Clinton said, when asked how do you play an harmonica - "you just blow into it"!
harry hayes
Freudian slip Wolfie. I meant "no doubt" but possibly better as typed. Happy days
wolfie
I have 'no doubt' as to what you meant.
