algy
My son and daughter have bought me a PMP (I know. I hadn't a clue what it was either) a personal media player, it has 6" screen and the picture quality is amazing it plays all types of video and music files, just upload a video put my earphones on and sit and watch my favourite videos while 'her in doors' can watch tele', I'm as happy as Larry. Evil Sid
I have my own room in the house so that I can retreat for a bit off peace (Yeah right). In this room I have my pc so that I can use the internet etc. a tv with freeview and a dvd recorder with freewview.. Mrs sid stays downstairs and watches whatever she wants and I stay upstairs and do the same. ok so a PMP is portable and you can use it anywhere so I suppose it does have the advantage over my gear in a way but as I never really go anywhere that I would need one I will give it a miss. I suppose I am a bit of a luddite at heart
algy
Bit difficult for me Sid as I live in a bungalow! also going to be handy when going abroad as I find flying very boring, also can't sleep on a plane.
Bill
I'm in exactly the same boat Sid with virtually identical solutions to the wife problem. At least my bungalow's a dormer type with an upstairs that's been converted to my own private bachelor pad. Be nice if I could work out how to make the telly work up here but I've never managed to crack the combinations of the three remotes that link the free view to the telly via the DVD player. As for your PMP Algey, well I'm waiting for the time where hi definition with full surround sound is available as a microchip brain implant! At least I won't three remote control units to work it (or will I?) Bill
