Bill
Just came to repaint some of my decking and the wife got the wrong colour. She's already opened the tin and stirred it so we can't take it back. It's a 2.5 lietre tin of Cuprinol Shades (Sea Grass pale blue) and cost me well over ?20 but it's for free to anyone that could make use of it. http://www.cuprinol.co.uk/products/garden_shades_overview.jsp Shame to throw it away. Evil Sid
You could always paint the inside of the shed roof with it.That way when the sky is grey and miserable you could go in there and pretend it is a nice summer day
Dizzy
Bill.... If you've only opened the tin and stirred it (ie not used any) why can't you take it back ? I've done it before and they were fine about changing it. Failing that you could always blag it and say it is stated as being 'the colour' which you have used in the past but it is completely different so you want an exchabge A man like you can surely blag your way out of a such a dilema Other alternative is to get your jetwash out and remove the other stain then just paint the lot with your new colour which is rather nice by the way
Bill
Ha ha. I suppose I could clean up the slight mess round the edges from Mrs Greens over enthusiastic stirring then blag a refund. Trouble is that Stapley Water Gardens is a bit of a treck and in any case, they don't stock the stuff we need. We thought it looked much the same but seeing the two side by side, they were really quite different, (in fact almost exactly like the backgrounds of the posts here!) I don't think you've never seen my garden but if you had, you'd realize why redoing the whole lot isn't really an option. I've got three tins of the right stuff on order now so Mrs G will just have to wait. Bill
Dizzy
Ahh so you are going for the 'put your feet up for a few more days' and 'blame it on the wife' option Bill Rather posh not only having what must be a big area of decking but also to buy from Stapley rather than the local more normal stores though eh Enjoy the relaxation while you can Bill as after all Mrs G can always do it herself while you are at work
Bill
It's allways the wife's fault as any bloke will tell you. If it wasn't for her impatience of not wanting to wait for stuff to be delivered, we wouldn't have had the problem. Typical women, I want it doing and I want it doing now! (ducks for cover ) There is an awful lot of decking and a pergola and a gazibo and a load of fencing round the pond so to redo the lot would be about a weeks work. Much easier to give the damn stuff away and have done with it! Not to worry, if nobody wants it then the nice people down at the tip might find a home for it.
