Geoffrey Settle
One of Lincolnshire's great IOM TT motorcyclist is on the BBC Wednesday 19:30. He's a great character, love a cup of tea and enjoys messing around with tractors etc more than you know what. Last time I saw him was when he flew past my marshalling position on the TT course last year destined for a massive fireball crash on the other side of the island. This should be an interesting documentary he's a bit like a young Fred Bunbar in some respects not driving Steam Engines but Motorbikes. The first of six episodes is described as Guy Martin starts a six-week mission to renovate a neglected narrowboat, named Reckless, with inventions from the Industrial Revolution. In this episode, he builds his own 18th-century blast furnace to cast an iron pot so he can boil some water, then learns how to throw his own traditional Wedgwood mugs so he can enjoy a perfect old-school cup of tea Looks like he has not only rebuilt the narrow boat but himself and with a new outfit to sponsor his ride in this year's Manx TT we'll be in for some more exciting racing. Geoffrey Settle
It's on Tonight - BBC1 at 7:30pm. Here is a video interview filmed after he recovered from last year's serious crash where her reflects on the crash in a typical Guy Martin way. He doen't get phased easily. It could be one of Gary's sporting interviews.
