Jerry Posted January 29, 2011 Report Share Posted January 29, 2011 Fourteen years ago in the Kyobo Bookstore in Seoul I purchased a cassette recording by Vanessa Mae, Virtuoso Violinist Extraordinaire. Recently my player destroyed that tape, but I've discovered her now on You Tube Music Videos. Her showmanship would make Liberace and Nicolo Paganini blush. What has puzzled me for fourteen years though is her "electric" violin. Now, with You Tube videos I see why. It evidently broadcasts the string vibrations to a speaker - because she leaves the stage and runs up the aisles of the theater bowing wildly while the philharmonic orchestra on the stage sits there playing backup.
