Dizzy
I have a question about the validity of the Woodland Trust petition that Lt K posted the link to. I don't mean that it is dodgy BUT I'm sure for a petition to be valid (should it ever be used) then it needs to include the NAME and ADDRESS of the person 'signing' it even if it is an electronic petition. All it asked me for was my email address and then it said I had signed the petition. I could have hundreds of email adresses if I want to and I could sign with each of them
Geoffrey Settle
Welcome to the electronic age - you could of course make up endless names and addresses using the alternative way dizzy - maybe it should be your passport number and your scanned finger for id
Dizzy
Dont be sarky Geoff I'm actually being serious ..... IF thousands of people sign it in this way and there is ever a need to present it to the government or other party it wont be valid. Even Number 10's petition site asks you for your REAL name and address and you have to validate your 'signature' although your personal details are not displayed for other signatories to see online. But hey what do I know about petitions eh
