Strong squad to tackle Wigan

Wasn't going anyway...Not after Leigh last week. The mighty Wire fired on just the three cylinders and the game was boring and one-sided and to put the top hat on it we were *kettled* behind the sticks whilst the whole of one side was completely empty. I'll be chucking two bob in the bucket for Clarkey. See, I can push the boat out when I put my mind to it.

Judging by the moaning from the St.Helens coach they take it very seriously. They were battered by Huddersfield and after the game Coach Simmons criticised Steve Ganson for the awarding of loads of penalties for lying on in the tackle. It seems this is a directive from Superleague in an attempt to speed up play which in my opinion is way overdue. I've been saying it for the last three seasons...the game is being ruined by Aussie coach inspired negative tactics so much so I was considering packing up watching the game at the end of the upcoming season. Perhaps there's hope yet. Has anyone heard of this directive and if so where can I take a look at it.

How do we think the game went :?::?:

For me I thought Wigan were the better team in all departments most noticeably in defence, the scoreline flattered us a little and plenty of pens were conceded.

On face value I think we were playing at 80% and have more to give (hopefully) on t'other hand Wigan shown there card early and with five first team players missing will be a very very good team this year and will take a good side to beat them. I personally think Wigan will finish 1st again and we'll finish 3rd behind Saints.

Morley looked strong going forward apart from that I'd say everyone else was average.

If we finish behind Saints I'll be very surprised. Saints are very much in transition with a lot of unproven kids coming through plus they are playing all their games *away*...Outside of top four for me.

I see were your coming from but c'mon you know what Saints are like, they could play terrible in all games and still win them, have a shocking start to the season and finish 2nd. Not forgetting our own abilities to throw away 6 point leads in the league.

Transition or not they have some outstanding players such as Gidley, Soliola, Graham, Roby then the proven youngsters like Moore and Forster, Gardener can score tries. Yea they've lost Cunningham and probably Eastmond put they've brought in Josh Perry, Shenton and LMS.

Believe me they'll will definitely be in the first 3.
