observer
Well "call me Dave" is going to chop 50 MPs from the Commons, which still leaves 600; meanwhile he's increasing the Lords to 800! Come on Dave, try and get a bit radical; cut the Commons to 300 by merging Constituencies and save ?40million; cut the Lords to 100 elected by Party list on the total % vote for each Party, and let them form the Executive, thus doing away with the "payroll" vote in the Commons and allowing the Commons to start scrutinising Government properly. Ooops forgot, it's politics; they don't want a cheap and efficient system, but one that suits their own Parties.

observer
MEPs probably have the easiest and most lucrative job of all - with no direct constituency, they are virtually non-accountable.
