indy Posted August 4, 2010 Report Share Posted August 4, 2010 As you may know over the past two years I have unearthed 8 solid silver Roman Republican coins from just one field in Cheshire. Well as far as my research tells me once you reach 7 coins from one findspot and especially Roman Silver coins it is now technically classed as a Roman Hoard !!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zy3pIvd-RvY Seems as though these coins will now need to be declared as a hoard and sent to the British Museum for further examination and probably declared Treasure once again. This will be the 2nd case of national treasure trove that I have achieved during my research around the area that I am researching.
