Brendam.
This is a very old but very tasty shortbread recipe and a simple but classic recipe. Ingredients:- 6 ozs plain flour 5 tbs caster sugar 6 ozs butter Preheat oven to gas mark 2 (150c) Blend all ingredients well.....dough will be stiff. Press into a 9" buttered baking dish. Prick top with fork. Bake until a pale golden brown on edges - approx 30-40 minutes. Cool and cut into squares. Bren.

Brendam.
They are indeed YUMMY Mary, without doubt! I like to make these for Arthurs lunch box and Uncle Billys lunch box too, for when they go fishing. As soon as they're made and cooled, wrap them in foil to keep them fresh. They will keep like this for around 5 days. Calorie content = loads! Taste = loads! Uses=loads! I've found loads of uses for these gorgeous biscuits, as I'm sure you will too. They're not the usual type of plain bickies, they're so much nicer, so much richer. Enjoy!!!!!! Bren.

Wingnut
Thanks Jimbo for bringing this thread back to the top. I had forgotten about it, and with Brens easy to follow recipe, even I should be able to do it. Might try a dash of brandy in mine.
