City's reserves will go top of the Barclays Premiership reserve league north if they beat Blackburn Rovers at Morecambe FC's Christie Park tonight.

Just two points separate the top five in the league, and tonight's opponents will go first if they win.

Middlesbrough play tomorrow night and the other sides jostling for the title, Bolton and Manchester United, also play later this week.

Kick off is at 7.00pm.

Team: Mentel, Logan, Williamson, D'Laryea, M Mills, Marshall, Clayton, Laird, Sturridge, Miller, Moore.

Subs: Williams, Matthewson (GK), Breen, Obeng, Ball.

City have moved to the top of the Barclays Premiership reserve league north after a narrow win away to Blackburn Rovers.

A Daniel Sturridge goal on the stroke of half time was enough see Kenny Jackett?s side move ahead of Manchester United at the top by just one point, City having a game in hand over the Reds, who play their final league game this week.

Nice to put peoples feet back on the ground, football is not all about the half dozen prima donas that seem to fill the back pages of our newspapers,(do you think i would still post these updates if Man Utd were in front of City Reserves)
