Bazj
Having seen off City (and smug Tevez ) Man Utd can now look forward to beating their old rivals Liverpool in the final... (what do you mean Liverpool aren't in it? I thought Rafa said they were going to win the League Cup this year) Breaking news folks...... apparently Utd are playing Aston Villa, not Liverpool..... Mind you, if you are a City fan, you can watch footage on their website from the 1969 Semi Final when they actually beat Utd and got to the final and won a trophy! (I'd get there quick before they take it off!!)
asperity
I thought it was a cup match. Didn't realise it was only a friendly
LymmParent
It was great! 4-3 on aggregate, right to the wire. Manchester has two cracking teams and City are finally, finally, back up there on level terms. I like Tevez - Fergie was mad letting him leave. Mad. But at least he's still a Manc! I honestly didn't know which side to cheer for tonight. City at Wembley would have been fantastic.

LymmParent
............City at Wembley...... There you go, dreaming of the past again LP Yes, and hopefully the future too. City have been in the shadow of United a long time and it's great to see them challenging. Good for the city, good for the North, good for the game. wolfie
Great to see United fans getting so excited by this competition! Baz J, LymmParent and Asperity. United fans The excitement wasn't about the competition. I don't think I have ever seen such a contested Carling cup tie before. I wouldn't be surprised if Fergie puts his second team out though for the final.

The last time the League cup was fiercely contested and a gfreat game to watch was when Liverpool beat United in the final!
wolfie
Forgiving is love?s revolution against life?s unfairness. When we forgive, we ignore the normal laws that strap us to the natural law of getting even and, by the alchemy of love, we release ourselves from our own painful pasts.
