Sue Durnim
Sometimes the TV theme tune was better that the programme or series it was introducing. My favourite theme tunes include: Thunderbirds, The Persuaders, Man from Uncle, World Inaction and many more, from the present day, the BBC?s ?The Hustle?, this theme tune reminds me of classic shows from the 70?s. If ?Wire FM? are reading this topic, it could be well worth a hour radio slot just on TV tunes. Has anyone else got any favourite TV theme tunes from the present or that we may have forgotten about? LymmParent
Jeeves and Wooster. Brilliant tune. From childhood "White Horses" and "Robinson Crusoe" - dire programmes, great tunes! Amazing how many stick in your head isn't it? The theme to Black Beauty is called "Galloping Home" and you could buy it at the time as a single. My youngest sister used to burst into tears every Sunday night when it played. I'd forgotten that.....

Follyfoot was "The Lightning Tree" wasn't it? "grow, grow the lightning tree, never too late for you and me" sort of caper. Think I did like that. My Mum bought the Van der Valk one. She drove me mental with it! I also have HR PuffnStuff on VHS tape somewhere.... Witchypoo, Jimmy and all.... misspent youth or what?! Evil Sid, LymmParent...Flashing Blade, I remember from Saturday mornings and Virginian from Sunday afternoons. Ahhhhhh.....memories, can any remember Belle and Sebastian and in the school holidays they were always showing Laurel and Hardy, Key Stone Cops and Shirly Temple Films? During the 60's and 70's inbetween programmes they would show cartoons of Bugs Bunny, Silvestor, Road Runner, Tom & Jerry etc? Also can anyone remember MARINE BOY or was Aqua Marine Boy cartoon? I have gone off topic, sorry!
LymmParent
Off topic is usually more fun round here, Sue! He was Marine Boy, but the lyrics of the song went "Marine Boy, Aqua Marine Boy" I remember that one! Stingray too with "Marina, Aqua Marina"... Thanks Sid for Smith & Jones, which put me in mind of The Waltons, The Beverly Hillbillies and The Dukes of Hazzard too. Banjos at 20 paces!
