Student Geoff
Joey Barton may be inside until the New Year after aledgely throwing punches in MacDonalds but will he show any more remorse than he did on the Man City training field? His family is ceratinly very familiar with the prison system but is it doing them and other soccer stars like him any good? Talk about setting a good example to young footballers! :onfire: [ 29.12.2007, 13:03: Message edited by: Student Geoff ]
bobshaw235
Newcastle are looking at terminating his five year contract if he is found guilty, does this mean they just wipe off the near 6 million pounds they paid City for him, surley they could flog him to Roy Keane for a couple of million because love Barton or Hate him he probably kept City in the prem last year and does have talent, but its all in his feet and none in his miniscule brain, can you think of a better manager for him than Roy Keane. Didnt City do well getting a barrow load of wonga for him :bounce:
Student Geoff
Wise words Bob but perhaps he should have known better thans to go into the Centre of Town where people will have a pop at him. Maybe an investment in anger management like Roy has taken could do the trick but he's certainly a handful. My son made the telling observation that you don't often get such reactions from Rugby League players.

Unfortunately you do. Rugby players are just as moronic as footballers, you just don't get it plastered all over the daily's or on the news, so few get to know about it. Eagle
Geoff, your son's 'telling observations' show how out of touch with the RL community he is. Back to Barton, Newcastle will cancel his contract but retain his registration.
