People's Millions is a grants programme funded by The Big Lottery Fund and winners will be decided by the public vote.

The charity submitted the application back in May to fund a project that will allow young people across the town, free access to sporting activities in 6 different locations, including those with disabilities and learning difficulties. As part of the project the town's children will also have the opportunity to take part in dance and sports leadership qualifications, that can be the stepping stone to becoming future coaches such as Tony Smith! Naturally there will be visits from Wolfie and his friends - the players and their Challenge Cup!

The activities will be planned and delivered by Wolves Foundation staff alongside local volunteers, from Community Groups such as the Salvation Army. This will be a fantastic opportunity for the volunteers who take part to boost their confidence, learn new skills and to look to a possible future within the leisure industry!

The Wolves Foundation will be on Granada TV on Monday 23rd November and will be up against another community group from Burnley. The Wolves Foundation will need your votes in the thousands to have a chance of securing the funds so that the children of the town can benefit!

Please keep visiting our website over the coming weeks for more information on the project and the Wolves Foundation's journey to the final!

On the 23rd November please check the following websites for the telephone number to vote with, lines will be open from 9am until 23.59 on this date. Calls will cost just 10p from a BT Landline, calls from other networks may vary and from mobiles will be considerably more

Last time Warrington took on Burnley in this competition it lost out to a project from Padiham. If you think that this project is worthwhile let your fingers do the talking on November 23rd. The foundation have an excellent record and to extend and expand will only benefit the town. They certainly gave my son the opportunities and support to become the good coach that he is today.
