observer
The age old greeting we associated with Dixon of Dock Green, but alas no more - it's considered subjective and not appropriate to some cultures - so now they're issueing new PC guidelines for PCs speak. Evil Sid
so "your nicked sunshine" is no longer considered pc for the pc. what next elocution lessons probably so that there will be no confusion if a case comes to court.
Paul Kennedy
I also understand that they can no longer use the term "housewife" .
Lt Kije
had a few run in's with traffic police over the years, to a man I have found them to be bar stewards, not PC at all. its funny because when you see the programs about traffic police and they have a camera in the car they are very PC. Egbert
I must be lucky (as well as unlucky!) Whenever I have encountered a traffic cop he has usually be affable, cheerful and friendly - but has still booked me! But that's his job. What's more, he called me "Sir"! observer
Best call them "Officer" rather than "constable" - think they like it. So I guess they can't claim you were giving them black looks now - eh?!
Lt Kije
I could think of some names but officer would not be one of them
Evil Sid
i have to admit that the first time i was called "sir" in stead of sonny by a police officer i realised that i was getting old

Peter T
Can you name any other country that panders to minorities and the PC brigade? It is ridiculous!!!
