Ian Posted September 28, 2009 Report Share Posted September 28, 2009 We were unfortunate not to win. Should have been at least a second penalty for us after yet another hand ball in the box. Liner saw it clearly but was too frightened to give it, probably why he shot off early. Did`nt do Town any favours then either as the momentum was lost when Town were pushing on strong. Long John Posted September 29, 2009 Report Share Posted September 29, 2009 If my memory serves me right Workington were the opposition during some of the early matches when I started bringing a very young Burgerman to watch football at Cantilever Park. I think it might have been in the North West Counties in the late 90's, but I am open to correction by people who have better memories.
