observer
Quite rightly IMO, the BNP will have to change it's constitution to make membership open to all - thus being open to black and asians etc. Does this now mean, that "black sections" in the Labour Party, the Black Police Association etc etc will in turn be deemed decriminatory and thus illegal? Bazj
No, because they already allow white police officers to join. There is no bar.
Paul Kennedy
But it would be interesting to know how many actually join.
Lt Kije
I don't see why Paul, atleast they have a choice
Bazj
apparently I was wrong; full membership of the BPA is open only to those of black, Asian or Middle Eastern origin.
Rifles
It will make no difference imo. Just like the KKK in America , by law they have to be open to " black members ".
Lt Kije
No you were right http://www.nationalbpa.com/
Rifles
Why not just call it The National Police Association
observer
The use of the term "Black" in their descriptive title, implies descriminination: the Police already have an "Association" open to ALL serving Officers; so why a "black" association? By removing any bar to multi-racial membership, the BNP removes any criticism that they are a "racist" party, thus placing themselves in a position of respectability - so perhaps more folk will now join, rather than just voting for them?! observer
Well, a sign that Nick is being welcomed into the main stream - he may (finally) be appearing on BBCs Question Time!
Lt Kije
Appearing on the BBC does not put you in the mainstream, David Icke has been on the BBC
observer
Think it implies acceptance, and Q-Time will be more interesting for it.

observer
An "acceptance" of fact - the fact that they were elected, and represent a constituency within society - and the more air time they get, the bigger their following will become. Bazj
I don't think it will be a problem though Obs..... look how much air-time and interviews the Lib Dems get; and they get bugger all votes when it comes to a proper election!!
