NFL - anyone going to watch the game?

Well I caught a bit of the match on the car radio on the way back from Liverpool. Actual it was mostly a conversation with the actor John Cussack about his stay in London and his latest films. This conversation was much more interesting than the sparodic commentary.

When I got home I sat and watched the last 6 minutes ofthe game which went on for half an hour or so.

The Dolphins kept throwing the ball away and getting it back for another go, time after time. I just don't get this game at all :D who have respect for great turf.

Mainly designed for mega rich opportunists who buy a franchise to give them street cred, played by totally unfit fragile posers who need padding to make them brave and oxygen after an amazing 6 metre run. If there is a more tedious sport I have yet to find it.

It's regular season Mary. It was a poor game, but then Giants/Dolphins is a very poor match up this season anyway. Impossible to get tickets, so kind of pleased it was a stinker of a game.

Hey Ya'll...

Don't knock American Football! I don't knock yours. They are just 2 very different games. It isn't anymore difficult to understand than the offsides rule (think that's what it's called anyway, can you tell I don't watch football?). And no it is not made for TV. The best way to watch the game is on a Friday night at a local high school with a cup of hot cocoa! God, I miss that. My hubby and I were quite excited that it was played here. Maybe it will catch on-- I miss this game.

There isn't one that I know of.

My girls (and guys) don't cheer for american football. We are all-star which means we compete across the UK, US, and now we've been invited to Europe!! Yeah!!

Just have to get these teams full now. Pass the word. The 6-9 year olds and 10-13 year olds start in Jan and I'm registering now. The 14-17s and 18-21s have Try Out Camps in Jan.

Thanks,

Christy
