Eagle
Is this a touch of Fergie's genius or desperation?
Gary
Well that will depend on whether he scores plenty of goals or not!
Geoffrey Settle
Will he be allowed to land his helicopter on the pitch?
Peter T
Wot Gary says. He could do another Cantona if he keeps fit. Giggs has had physical problems for years, but with proper exercises etc, overcame them and still keeps doing it. Newcastle seems to be a place where players pick up injuries. Must be the Newkie Brown.
Lt Kije
Smacks of desperation for me, he needs someone but there is know one on the market, Owen was available on a free. He is nothing more than a stop gap
LarryLightweight
He was once regarded as England's best striker...it will be interesting to see how this pans out. Rooney and Owen may turn out to be another Yorke and Cole...only time will tell but I'm looking forward to the new season whatever happens
Lt Kije
Yep It will be fun to watch United go down the pan
Eagle
The stage is set, Liverpool v United at Anfield. Clock ticking down, no score; Owen nips into the penalty area infront of the Kop, Carragher moves to tackle but doesn't, Owen goes to the floor, Ref awards a penalty, Owen scores, final whistle. Gerrard runs in rage to Owen, "You diving, cheating scouser.
Gary
Eagle oh feathered friend I have moderated your choice of words as ***** are not allowed when it is obvious to everyone what offensive word you are choosing to use.
Lt Kije
United have just sold the biggest diver (cheat) in the premiership
Eagle
Sorry Gary, I should have known better. Loo, the departure of Ronaldo leaves Gerrard unchallenged as the Premiership's best falling down merchant.
Lt Kije
I am not a Liverpool fan either, but when it comes to falling down or trying to intimidate the ref United are best closely followed by Chelsea
wolfie
How many United or Chelsea games have you watched Loo?
asperity
Stevie G is definitely the master when it comes to the dive, conning the referee, and panning his fellow "professionals" on TV for trying to emulate his diving skills.
Bazj
It will be fun to watch United go down the pan This phrase has been used for the past 10 seasons Sgt.... not happened yet though.... Fergie knows what he is doing and he has obviously bought Owen because the United doctors and physios need some practice; Owen being the ideal man to keep them busy.
