observer
Just heard a tale of blokes being laid off a renovation scheme funded by the lottery, cos funds are allegedly being diverted for the Olympics - thought the Olympics was on budget? Dizzy
Something else that has gone way over the estimated budget so money is now being clawed in and diverted from anywhere and everywhere
Peter T
That rumour has been going round since they won the bid.
Dizzy
Appologies for my ignorance Peter... is it under budget then with plenty left in the original pot
observer
There's a special lottery dedicated solely to the Olympic pot; obviously it's not enough if they're clawing money from other schemes.
Peter T
Appologies for my ignorance Peter... is it under budget then with plenty left in the original pot I was referring to the Lottery money. I applied for a grant last year and didn't have any problems. Sometimes, people don't find out why their bids are rejected and can jump to the wrong conclusion, as was the case with a local group trying to get funding for a Community bus. That was the reason that they came up with, but I suggest that wasn't the reason.
