Wiretown.Editor
Runours abound that they are on the verge of folding. I hope not but if they do it will have ramifications for us. It means Witton may well get a reprieve and not be relegated, making us even more southern looking for next season.
Gary
Apparently they are safe now - but still no decision on the league formats - The FA are not helping our cause as we are trying to plan for next season and sort out budgets without knowing what league we will be in! warrington15
this was taken off there site Last nights? meeting was open and three things came out of it. 1.David Thompson has withdrawn his financial backing. 2.Unless a new owner with at least 100k came forward before COB Thursday Newcastle Blue Star will definitely not be competing in the UniBond League next season. Blue Star will go into administration should no one come forward. 3. Administration would result in a demotion of two divisions (Northern League 1). If an arrangement can be made to continue to play at Kingston Park or Druid Park (formally the Wheatsheaf Ground) AND a sponsorship deal of at least 20k per annum can be put in place then the club could have a future. Without this the club will cease to exist. Arrangements would need to be put in place for Friday to satisfy the FA and the club would also be interested in hearing from individuals who would like to be involved in the future of the club. Wiretown.Editor
I have also heard that NVFC have gone into administartiona and if don't come out by mid June could end up doing an FC Halifax Town, restarting in UniBond 1 South. Time yet for things to change though.
