Play off structure

Recommended Posts

Tonight Skem lost at home to Newcastle BS and in so doing handed the onus for automatic promotion back to Durham City. Simply put, if Durham win on Saturday they go up as champions.

The rest of the positions are not finalised but only to the point where it is home advantage to play for. Durham or Skem (whoever finishes 2nd) will play Curzon Ashton at home and Newcastle will play Colwn Bay but it could be at either venue. Level on points but NBS are better off by 16 goals so if they win on Saturday they'll be at home.

At the bottom if Rossendale win then Salford will be relegated, regardless of what they do. To stay up Salford must win and hope Rossy don't. A Salford win and a Rossy draw would save Salford by a point.

Meanwhile we finish the season at Harrogate with nothing more than pride to play for.

Town's reserves ar across Town playing Moore United at Long Lane (where Tetley Walker - remember them - used to play). Only a win will keep us in with a chance of promotion as runners up (Golborne are all but champions, we can't catch them after losing there on Saturday) . We must also win at Monk (that's in Woolston) the following Saturday and hope for favourable results elsewhere. So if you can't make Harrogate there seems to be a good place to be to shout for Town.

Good luck to Dave P & the lads. Table on Cheshire League site through FA's Full Time
