More recently, used as a racial slur against persons of African descent. Listen mau mau, you had best get these dishes washed right now or I'm going to fire your ass! observer Posted March 19, 2009 Report Share Posted March 19, 2009 The Kenyan "mau mau" led by Jomo Kenyata; killed quite a few British soldiers, cutting them open and eating their hearts (allegedly) - Kenyata went on to become the first PM of an independent Kenya - believe that's what they call "political expediency"?! Jerry Posted March 19, 2009 Author Report Share Posted March 19, 2009 For some reason I had envisioned the use of 'mau mau' tactics as jungle drums and chants of 'mau-mau, mau-mau, mau-mau' preceding an attack with machetes and torches. For my daughter in law just an hour ago I printed the value of single family homes in Los Angeles County as of Feb. 2009 compared to Feb. 2008. All the cities home sale prices were down except for one -- Monterey Park. It was up 7% over a year ago. I thought, "sure, that's a 90% Chinese immigrant city, I'll bet they are bringing in Chinese currency to take advantage of the lower prices at this time."
