LibDem proposal to close another school

Having successfully put the final nail in the Woolston High School coffin the LibDems have strated building another for Longbarn Primary, where will it end?

Apparently this isn't happening in the south so maybe it's a ConDem alliance action?

Will the new Education Chief continue the programme of closures when they are appointed?

Geoff, perhaps YOUR Government will sanction keeping ALL schools open, thus providing smaller class sizes and employing more teachers, and reducing travel distances from home to school - or given that that would cost an arm and a leg, can we rely on them doing nothing?!

Not surprising Geoff, given 75% of the funding comes from central Gov - courtesy of the tax payer; and the amount forms the parameter for local spending, so don't blame "the Council". PS: and I hope your not boasting about the numerous PFI schemes that will saddle our grand-children with tax debts, and after paying for the buildings for umpteen years, they will be returned to the private owners - crazy or what?!:wink:
