Geoffrey Settle Posted March 4, 2009 Report Posted March 4, 2009 It's a pity that the abusive drunken fans have got nothing better to do than hurl abuse. But I suppose it's an English thing!! They are certainly not getting behind their young manager or team in a supportive way. Quote
safeway56 Posted March 4, 2009 Report Posted March 4, 2009 So Jimmy's not going to put up with personal abuse is he ? What's he going to do about it ? Offer the abusers a fight behind the bike sheds ? He's a little thin skinned to let a handful of drunks get to him. From my limited knowledge of Belle Vue he wouldn't have been sat anywhere near Wire supporters who congregate behind the sticks. The abuse would be more likely to have come from Wakefield supporters, where we had the misfortune to stand near last season and they were extremely drunk and abusive and looking for *bovver* Quote
theinsider Posted March 6, 2009 Report Posted March 6, 2009 Most coaches, managers, players get abuse at some stage in their careers - I am surprised owr Jimmy ain't got thick enough skin to take it. Quote
