Geoffrey Settle
Congratulations to everyone who took part this morning in the Warrington, Victoria Park Miles. There were two courses one on the track and one around the park. The people doing four laps of the track were serenaded by the youngsters in the brass band who sat in the stands. The weather was cold and most runners had bright red smiley faces mine however must have been blue because I was a Marshall. Never mind it was all in a good cause. :loveyou: Did anyone run a mile or two?
AdrianR
I ran the 11:30 on the track. Wanst going to trouble Guiness with my time though, but have managed to raise ?75 in the process. Wind on the back straight put paid to joining the sub four (hours) club.
Geoffrey Settle
Well done Adrian I hope you enjoyed the music from the band. You're not the only one to find the wind troublesome it has ruined many top athletes attempts to tun the FIRST sub 4 minute mile on the track. In fact it might still be the case that no one has ever run a sub 4 at Victoria Park so keep the training up where there's hope.
