LarryLightweight Posted February 9, 2009 Report Posted February 9, 2009 The 59-year-old Brazilian arrived in West London last July, but the club's poor form and rumours of discontent in the dressing room have seen his position undermined. Chelsea's results at home have been particularly disappointing, winning just six of 13 games at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League. Saturday's goalless draw at home to Hull City saw them slip to fourth in the table, seven points behind leaders Manchester United. Nevertheless the dismissal of Scolari, who won the 2002 World Cup with Brazil and reached the Euro 2004 final with Portugal, comes as a major shock. All saw awwwww Quote
Peter T Posted February 9, 2009 Report Posted February 9, 2009 Interesting comments on Sky over the weekend, saying that Chelsea were an old team and needed to rebuild. Problem is, the Russian thinks he has done his bit, and it's up to the manager to work the oracle. It started to go wrong when the maestro was there, and has gone downhill ever since. They might even ask him back, as he keeps coming over here to watch the World Champions, European Champions and Premier Champions. Perhaps Fergie is his mentor. Quote

I think you will find that it was Fergie who said that at the beginning of the season as the reason why Chelsea would not win the title. Quote
