Jerry Posted September 1, 2008 Report Share Posted September 1, 2008 I wrote to my friend in the Philippines about healthcare in Great Britain, France, Germany, Japan, and elsewhere having single-payer universal coverage for its citizens. I deplored the USA where millions of uninsured people have only emergency rooms to gain access to medical attention, and those are closing, closing, closing, soon to be extinct. He replied it's the same in the Philippines. If you have money, you can see a doctor, purchase medicine, or surgery and other treatments.
