Jerry Posted July 28, 2008 Report Share Posted July 28, 2008 Dang, I missed the Richard Burton one. Back in 1953 I saw a George Pal version of H.G. Wells story that I find much superior to the Tom Cruise version. I didn't actually see all of the Tom Cruise version, though. Well aside from being in the Gobi rather than the Sahara Desert; the cast in the original was all white MEN; not so the re-make - perhaps an example of our new PC culture?!
