Dizzy
Often thought it odd that there's NO VAT charged on materials etc for new buildings but there is for refurbishments.... Warrington says it's heritage is important
tonymaillman
How many times have I done this topic ? but, to reiterate, the tourists who come to britain visit mostly because of its heritage, tourism employs around one third of the British workforce (yes tourism has LOTS of branches to it) so is therefore VERY important ......... it's abundant in the majority of the country ......... it's just unfortunate that we live in a town who does NOTHING to preserve any heritage As I've said before ...... you get to the point of giving up with it in this town. observer
Even listed buildings can't be protected; as the Government don't supply the funds to renovate them; they merely decay until some developer accidentally knocks them down.
