Jerry
Announcement in today's Times: a famous actor's memoirs are being prepared to bring in some additional coins. I'll pass this one up. He's never impressed me in any way. Couldn't even lose his accent when playing a Soviet Sub Commander in a film.
Steve the Original
Jerry a brilliant actor though and his role as James Bond was really really good... Dont think i would buy the book though.. Steve
Jerry
I guess I mistook his arrogance and air of superiority for uncool acting. Anyone who would try to drown Catherine Zeta Jones should be locked up with a mirror to play with. Oh, I know it was in the script, but it was in the script because he plays that role so well. It was written with him in mind. My favorite Bond was that men's clothing mannequin -- George Lazenby -- because he came close to emotion when Diana Rigg, his bride, is assassinated. I also saw him in Saint Jack playing a U.S. Senator in Singapore.
Steve the Original
Jerry Your kidding me he was the worst JB i have ever seen!! even my parents walked out on the movie and got their money back when it was first being shown, the guy had no conception of JB and his role,he definatly did not fit the role in anyway, why do you think he did not do more JB films? like the others did? Jerry
I know you're in the majority, and I'm in a slim little cult -- maybe of one. GL could not redefine JB. It was too late when he came along. I enjoyed the RM approach - self deprecating and just having fun.
Peter T
SC was the only true JB. The rest were pale imitations especially GL.

Jerry
A real gentleman would drown Zeta-Jones? That's the exact reason I disdain SC!!!
observer
Yer can't drown her; she's got a $zillion pre-nup!
