Observer II
Can't say I've seen any yet, in the S/Market - but before the remoaners kick off, blaming Brexit; seems "empty shelves" are occuring throughout Europe and the US; all seems to be suffering a shortage of HGV drivers.
Latchford Locks
No it's the same with me. I have just been in Sainsburys and all is as normal stock wise.
ninearches
The best way to create empty shelves is for the news channels to make a story out of it & cause panic. The fuel shortage soon disappeared when the news dropped the story.
Evil Sid
So why the sudden almost worldwide shortage of HGV drivers. There were plenty before the pandemic kicked in. There were plenty during the "worst" of the pandemic. Are they all on holiday or have they succumbed to the dreaded lergy..........🤔
Observer II
A lot of this has been caused by "just in time" delivery systems, with dispersed supply hubs, encouraged by the EU and the industry trying to shave pennies off costs, whilst polluting Europe with diesel fumes. We clearly need to rethink our logistics and reliance on imports.
