Observer II
Listening to PMQ's, you'd think that success by Gov is measured purely on the basis of funding allocated, rather than the organisational efficiency and commitment of the relevant workforce. As Asp has highlighted in the example of the NHS, £billions are being invested, but clearly huge amounts are being wasted on superficial management posts, that contribute nothing to the core aims of the organisation and it's outcomes. So are we to blame the Civil Service for not achieving value for money, for not delivering on political objectives, and if so; is it time for some form of internal scrutiny of management performance within our public institutions, to root out incompetence or deliberate non-compliance with political objectives ?
