asperity
Wire went to Perpignan to play the unbeaten Dragons with Blake Austin surprisingly dropped. Catalan took charge in the first half, looking the side most likely to run away with it being 8-0 ahead from a penalty and a converted try on 27 minutes. From then on Wire took command, running in 2 tries to go in leading 8-12 at half time. The second half started with Jake Mamo intercepting a Tomkins pass on his own 10 metre line and running the 90 metres unchallenged to touch down. A further try by Widdop put Wire in a commanding 8-24 lead which they never looked like losing. Hopefully Warrington can build on this win and put in a strong challenge on the leaders, Saints and Wigan.
